I am always thankful to my dad who gave me my first camera at the age of ten. Since then, my camera travelled with me everywhere. I loved photographing people, lifestyle and nature. Photographs and everything to do with photographs became an important part of my life. I would photograph and create scrapbooks for myself and my family. Taking pictures never took a back seat even when I got busy with college and and through 15 years of corporate career in Engineering and Management. Actually, photography and scrapbooking with friends seemed like a special spa treatment after a long week. :) Thus far, it had been just a serious hobby!

All that changed (for the better!) after I had two beautiful kids – capturing their precious moments brought me so much pleasure. Gradually, encouragement from friends and family convinced me that I should take up photography as a full time endeavor. A friend once said to me, "you are really good at capturing candid moments and using them to tell beautiful life stories." That’s how Shubha Gangal Photography was born. It brings me pleasure knowing that through these portraits I bring joy in the lives of people around me, today and forever.

Thank you for visiting this page. I would like to share a beautiful thought from Ralph Emerson that seems so true in my own journey.

To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment. – Ralph Waldo Emerson
